...but can't!
So, I dislocated my elbow 2.5 weeks ago playing soccer. I won't bore you with the details but here's a list of some of the things I want to do, but can't (at the moment) as well as a list of some of the things I should be doing but can't (for now).
Things I want to do... but can't
1.Play the guitar
2.Play soccer
3.Kayaking - I never kayak, but now that I can't, I really want to do it.
4.Take pictures - I really should be taking pictures for my Ossining Bicentennial assignment, but that's simply impossible at the moment
5.Put on each and every garment without any help
6. Shift into fifth gear and reverse with my right hand!
7.Put on make up
8.Actually fix my hair
9.Pick up anything heavier than my keys with my right hand
10.Sleep on my right side
11.Get out of the sling!!
12.I almost forgot... biking!
edit: I can't believe I forgot fishing! FISHING!! man, I wanna go fishing!
Things I need to do... but can't
1.Get back in the lab (at work)
2.Laundry
3.Take out the trash
4.Change the water on my fish tanks/cleaning the filters
5.Drive with both hands!
6.Anything that involves picking up anything or using my dominant arm... so ... most everything.
On the bright side, I'm able to do a lot more things now than I could 2 weeks ago and thankfully I suffered no broken bones =) so it could be worse. Can't wait to play again!!
